The Majestic Yosemite Hotel | Yosemite National Park, California

Built in the 1920’s, the Majestic Yosemite Hotel has stunning views of the Half Dome, Yosemite Falls and Glacier Point and was specifically designed to suit those who seek luxury. The hotel has achieved that and has the honor of being Yosemite’s only AAA four-diamond hotel. It is built totally of concrete to alleviate any chance of fire destroying it, the fate of many hotels in Yosemite. Formerly, the Ahwahnee Hotel, the Majestic is also a National Historic Landmark and a major attraction for visitors to this breathtaking national park. It also was the hotel used in the Shining movie.

The unique design of the Majestic Yosemite Hotel combines art deco, middle eastern, Native American and arts & crafts movement in it’s elements and it is famous for it’s stone fireplaces, massive hand stenciled beams, stunning stained glass and amazing tapestries. The dining room features 34 foot high ceilings and ceiling to floor windows framed with stained glass and is the site of many of the most remarkable culinary events in this country.  The lounge is HUGE with 24 foot ceilings, stained glass and a massive stone fireplace.

Services offered at the Majestic Yosemite Hotel are superb to say the least, providing full-time concierge, daily maid service, turn down service on request, not to mention a truly unique gift shop, sweet shop, year-round outdoor heated swimming pool, WiFi and the awesome Majestic Yosemite Hotel Bar.

There is so many activities here that you will never be bored.  You will be able to experience rock climbing, hiking, mule & horseback rides, golf, rafting and water sports, ice skating on the rink, history and nature programs, biking, guided bus tours to see the beautiful, massive Sequoia trees and much more!
